Prefabricated pools are usually made of fiberglass and are available in all shapes and sizes.
To install this type of a pool:
Mark the circumference of the pond with wooden stakes (figure 1)
Excavate the area to a depth approximately 10 cm deeper than the height of the pool. If your pond requires filters, hoses, etc, please take this into consideration.
You can also make a sunken pool by digging deeper and sloping the edges (figures 2 & 3)
Fill the bottom of the excavation with approx. 5 cm of sand. Insert the pond and make sure it's level! Some construction line and a level will help greatly with this.
Fill the pool with approximately 20 - 30 cm of water (8 - 12 inches) and then check once again to see that it has remained level.
Carefully fill in the soil or sand around the pool, taking care not to bump things. Periodically check how the pool is sitting.
Fill the pond with water and let the water warm and age.
Add pebbles and soil, and plant out your water garden.
Finish the edges with suitable rocks, plants and benches.
