Welcome To Canadian Country Woman!

My name is Sara, and this site has come about as a result of my love for the simpler things in life. Within these pages you will find everything from gardening information and tips, through cooking, baking, and preserving to photos I have taken. Who knows, I might even throw in some local stories and legends too!

HURRAY! It's starting to feel like spring here in Northern Canada. The days are getting longer, it actually gets above freezing some days, and the snow is beginning to melt around the house. I've got a lovely container garden started on my kitchen table, and thoughts of starting a greenhouse are beginning to cross my mind. It's a little too early for me yet, but for those of you who live "down south" the greenhouses and early plantings are already a reality.

These days, my life tends to be filled with "magic". My grand-daughters have received a surprise trip to Disneyland at the end of March. They are incredibly excited and can hardly wait to meet Cinderella in real life. So of course we had to plan a Fairy Garden. Please do check it out and leave your comments. It's so much fun to share with people around the world.

Also, there's a NEW BLOG. I'd love to hear from you!
