Welcome To Canadian Country Woman!
My name is Sara, and this site has come about as a result of my love for the simpler things in life. Within these pages you will find everything from gardening information and tips, through cooking, baking, and preserving to photos I have taken. Who knows, I might even throw in some local stories and legends too!
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a totally different country?
What kinds of sights would you see? How do the people live? Is it easy to travel, and get around? What are the crops like? Do they even have grocery stores?

A friend of mine, Anwar, has set out on an exciting new project in L'Amandier, Morocco. Sitting on a plateau surrounded by the magnificent snow-capped Atlas Mountains, a short distance from Sir Richard Branson's luxury retreat, Kasbah Tamadot, L’Amandier is in one of Morocco’s most natural and peaceful environments.
Anwar's housing development is nestled on a 50,000 square metre plateau. Only 5% of the land will be built on to ensure the natural environment is conserved, and that the ecology stays intact. With the vibrant chaos of Marrakech just an hour away, L'Amandier is a peaceful respite. This is somewhere one can’t help but relax, unwind and enjoy the clean air, unspoilt panoramic views, tranquility and space. Click here to check out L'Amandier, Morocco. Also be sure to go to the Blog section for lots of local details, as well as great photos.
Hurray for summer! I don't know about your part of the world, but here in Northern Canada it was a long time coming. My garden is very short in height this year, and yet plants are already setting fruit and some even going to seed. But those garden crops always taste delicious!
